Confident Asthma Management

This session aims to set out what professionalism looks like in everyday practice and how these fit within Primary Care multidisciplinary teams.Covering professional regulation, from professional identity, governance and accountability to safe management and delegation in teams. This will include professional accountability and working as a safe, trusted healthcare professional. We will examine being a role model to other healthcare professionals in the delivery of safe patient care, and how to manage and raise professional issues within practice.

Professionalism 

As you are aware as a smear taker you need to do an update every three years. This is an essential session as it will ensure you are kept up to date with all the latest cytology information. It is important that you attend and please keep your cameras on throughout as this is a mandatory session.

Cytology Update 

This study day gives you a foundation knowledge in COPD and is suitable for beginners and those needing an update. This is NOT the equivalent to undertaking a course in managing patients with COPD in your practice. You will revise the respiratory system and gain a better understanding of how the condition of COPD impacts on this and on the body more systemically. Update on COPD Management for Primary Care 

This study session aims to provide you with the foundational knowledge and skills required to begin to safely and effectively obtain adult venous blood samples.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the session, you will be able to:
