This role offers flexible working arrangements and the chance to contribute to a training practice that prioritises high quality patient care, staff wellbeing and ongoing professional development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Delivering high quality clinical care — providing safe, evidence based general medical services to a registered list of approximately 9,500 patients, including a significant older population who value continuity and personalised care.
– Managing routine and urgent consultations — undertaking a balanced mix of clinical activity across the week, including:
• one dedicated triage day,
• one duty doctor day managing on the day demand,
• and regular clinic sessions on remaining days.
– Conducting home visits — carrying out clinically appropriate home visits, typically scheduled between morning and afternoon clinics.
– Using modern clinical systems — working confidently with EMIS Web, AccuRx, Tortus, Docman and other digital tools that support efficient workflow and patient access.
– Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team — working closely with pharmacists, a pharmacy technician, nurses and a wide range of PCN ARRS professionals to deliver integrated, patient centred care.
– Supporting safe prescribing and long term condition management — contributing to medication safety, chronic disease reviews and continuity of care for complex patients.
– Participating in practice meetings and governance — attending monthly practice meetings, taking part in significant event reviews, and contributing to quality improvement and team development.
– Contributing to a training environment — supporting the ethos of a training practice by working alongside and providing informal guidance to GP trainees.
