Basic Life Support

Practical, accessible, and up to date with the latest guidance.

At the South East London Workforce Development Hub, we’re proud to support high-quality CPR training through Little Anne, our Basic Life Support (BLS) manikin, available at our office and in borough hubs. This resource aligns with the Resuscitation Council UK’s recommendations, ensuring all learners gain hands-on experience with confidence.

What the Guidelines Say

The Resuscitation Council recommends that individuals complete at least one face-to-face Basic Life Support (BLS) session per year where possible, or alternatively, a virtual session through platforms such as e-Learning for Healthcare (e-lfh). They also promote a low-dose, high-frequency approach to training, short, regular sessions designed to maintain the quality of CPR over time. Research shows that without ongoing practice, CPR skills can begin to decline within just three months.

CPR saves lives, but without regular practice, skills can decline in as little as three months

Little Anne and the QCPR app provide real-time feedback to help you stay sharp and improve technique.

Our goal is confidence and readiness, so you can act quickly and effectively in an emergency.
