My clinical background spans nursing and midwifery. In addition to my role as joint Lead nurse for BETH, I work as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in general practice and as a Disease Prevention Nurse Specialist with Bromley Public Health. The role of lead nurse role within BETH encompasses several key responsibilities, including supporting the development of the general practice nursing workforce through leadership and guidance, providing education and training opportunities for nursing teams, as well as leading and supporting initiatives that introduce and embed new roles within primary care.

I have been working in primary care for 11 years and am passionate about supporting, developing and expanding the nursing workforce. I work as Lead Nurse at Elm House in Bromley and have worked with the team at BETH and SELWDH for the last 4 years in a PCN facilitator role, before taking on the Lead Nurse role in 2025.

I lead the South East London Webinar Programme and the Bromley Academic Half Days. I also support CPD events across South East London

I also work as a salaried GP at Stock Hill Medical Centre in Bromley and do weekly extended access shifts for my PCN, Five Elms. I joined the Bromley VTS GP Training Programme in 2016 and qualified as a GP in Year 2020, since have been working for Stock Hill Surgery and the Training Hub which I very much enjoy. Apart from this, I love spending time with my little family, travelling and playing tennis.

Fun Fact: I represented Sri Lanka to play Junior Tennis, being top 3 in the country (and of course had to come off the ladder to pursue my career in Medicine)
