Advanced Practice (AP) is for experienced clinicians ready to take on greater responsibility, advanced clinical decision-making, and leadership across primary care. Working across the four pillars of advanced practice—clinical care, leadership, education and research—APs are driving innovation in the NHS. SELWDH offers fully funded opportunities for eligible nurses, paramedics, physiotherapists and pharmacists to complete an MSc and progress their careers.

Funding criteria

When considering whether funding should be granted, the steering group and relevant professional leads will consider the following factors.

For each factor, please provide a rating 1-4 indicating the extent to which it is in place, where:

You will have to briefly explain your rationale for the score you gave each factor. The more details are provided, the less we have to confirm, and therefore will take less time for funding to be approved. SELWDH reserves the right to withdraw funding or charge a non-attendance fee in the event that the applicant fails to attend/complete the course or does not meet the academic pre-requisites (where applicable). SELWDH will fund course fees only, applications cannot be made for food, lodging, travel, backfill or any other costs that are not directly related to training and development. The practice must provide a copy of the paid invoice to SELWDH. Professionals are responsible for maintaining their own records of attendance for the purposes of revalidation and appraisal.
