Our Training Hub is supported by a dedicated Nurse Lead and Nurse Facilitators for each PCN, strengthening nursing leadership across the borough. We provide regular clinical supervision, a borough-wide Nursing Forum for shared learning, and a range of training, education, and career development opportunities to support nurses at all stages.
Paula Marsden, Nurse Lead for the Lambeth Training Hub, has worked in Lambeth for many years and has served as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) at Binfield Road Surgery in Stockwell for the majority of that time. She joined Lambeth’s team of part-time Nurse Leads in 2008, initially supporting and developing Health Care Support Workers. Over time, her role has evolved and is now an integral part of the Lambeth Together Training and Development Hub.
You are welcome to contact Paula at paulamarsden@nhs.net. Alternatively, you may contact the team at lttdh@selondonics.nhs.uk .
Paula works closely with colleagues across the other five South East London boroughs to ensure a unified approach to workforce development and to support the integration of the growing range of allied health professionals into our programmes.
Paula has overall responsibility for:

Paula works flexibly on her non-clinical days (Mondays and Wednesdays) and will endeavour to respond to queries as promptly as possible.

Training, education and career advancement – including funding for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), Advance Clinical Practice (ACP), Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP), apprenticeships, and Standard for Student Supervision and Assessment (SSSA) – mentoring training – are all available through the South East London Workforce Development Hub website.
The SELWDH Mentorship Programme offers bespoke, multi-professional mentoring support designed to empower primary care clinicians at every stage of their career. Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced practitioner, you can be thoughtfully matched with an experienced mentor to support your professional development, enhance clinical practice, build networks, and achieve your career goals. The scheme welcomes a wide range of primary care professionals and provides structured mentoring sessions that fit your schedule and development needs. For more information or to get involved, please visit the SELWDH mentoring page.
We have strengthened our nursing leadership by appointing a Nurse Facilitator for each PCN. Their role is to support the implementation of placements and preceptorship, identify workforce gaps, and foster a cohesive nursing community within their locality.
The relevant Nurse Facilitator will be informed of any new nurses joining their PCN; however, please feel free to contact them directly with any queries. Our Nurse Facilitators meet regularly to discuss workforce priorities and emerging issues.
We are fortunate to have offered clinical supervision to Nurses, Nursing Associates, and Health Care Support Workers for many years. Clinical supervision provides a safe, confidential space for colleagues to reflect on practice, clinical concerns, and address professional matters.
Supervision groups meet every 6–8 weeks, with sessions delivered either in person or online. We strongly encourage all eligible staff to participate. To join a group, please contact the relevant supervisor to confirm availability.
Please note: Staff cannot join a supervision group that includes colleagues from their own practice.
Below is a list of supervision and support groups available for Nurses, HCAs, Nursing Associates, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Associates. Please contact the relevant supervisor directly to confirm availability within the group.
